A PC was bought 5 years ago containing a 320MB hard drive. The hard drive would have cost approx £80, as a spare part, at that time.
If that hard drive now fails, most big PC repair companies will fit exactly the same model 320MB drive (that may have been sat on a shelf in a warehouse for 5 years) and charge you about £80 for the drive, plus a fitting charge.
I won’t rip you off with outdated parts. Instead, I’ll fit a modern, brand new, 2TB hard drive – giving you 6x the space of your original drive – and charge you exactly the same price!
